That worked pretty well in NY. I think they got about 13% compliance.
Not that this administration cares, but an executive order mandating registration for all firearms would be a direct violation of existing federal law prohibiting a registry.

I think el-presidente goes for the attempt to require all firearms sold have a background check through and FFL creating a form 4473 trail and a trail in the “non-existent” feds database. There are millions of firearms out there that the original 4473 form trail would be a dead end should there be an attempt at confiscation. By requiring this so-called background check you put these firearms back on the radar for an owner.
If this doesn’t work, next comes you will register your firearms with the benevolent federal government, why we would never use this to confiscate your guns, honest, you can trust us!
As for el-supremo and his executive orders, piss on him, how in the hell could he prove I sold or bought any gun after his imperial decree???
