It has bothered me from the beginning. Trump has never been a conservative that I can tell. He has always been strong on immigration and defense but that is it.
And if we do not have a secure border, stop illegal immigration, including that of jihadists, what else matters at that point? No border, no country. We can examine our navels all we want, but there are issues that a paramount right now and Trump is the ONLY one that is saying he will do anything about it.
Considering that the country is on it’s knee’s, I will take strong immigration and defense so we can get back on our feet. If we get a Yeb, Sanders or Clinton; the republic is done withing 10 years.
His position papers on the Second Amendment and taxes certainly are conservative. Same with his position papers on illegal immigration and defense.
I’m willing to give him a chance. Trump and Cruz are the only two of the original field of sixteen candidates that interest me at all.
