Nope. You misunderstood my comment at 55. If I had had more time and didn’t have to leave after posting, I probably would have run across one of the Cruz-haters/bashers and said the same thing to them, just using different pronouns.
What set me off about your comment about *not getting mad yet* is very much related to what you*re saying yourself. People here and on other forums get emotionally stuck on their preferred candidate (or stuck against their opponents). They lose all good reason and become a mark for the trolls. The typical pattern: Each camp gets their feelings hurt, the name-calling begins, things escalate, more feelings get hurt, more name-calling, then here come the trolls to exploit and split conservatives up so they can dilute our votes. It*s quite maddening to watch every 4 years. It*s also frightening to see how easy it is to manipulate people online. Some of these trolls have early sign-up dates, btw; they*re just smarter than others.
Back to you and your original comment: When taken in the context of this article about Thad Cochran’s election theft, it appeared as if you were in the camp of emo-driven people — the people who get SO stuck on stupid that they are willing to let Hillary win, but by golly, THEY WERE RIGHT!

So tell me, why do conservatives who pride themselves on possessing such a high intellect allow themselves to be manipulated every election cycle? Why would anyone here want to see a war between Cruz and Trump supporters? Most of us are okay with either candidate, so maybe the rest of you who are entering your Stupid Season need to cool it.
And what*s a good solution to stop this cyclical madness? Jim can’t really call for posters to stop these heated conversations without seeing consequences. Last I know, he*s not interested in running a Hitleresque website. He has had to do it in the past because it got so ridiculously out of control, but it*s a last-resort measure.
