Read it-excellent stuff indeed! God bless Mark Steyn, I could have read at least another 5 pages of that. I want to be sure I understand-is this a transcript of his words and actual presence before the committee, or was it read in his stead? Because if he laid into them in person, I’d have given almost anything to be there, although I know how very good congressmen are at staying in the invisible bubbles with which they surround themselves and never hearing or seeing anything which disturbs what they want to be true, and especially anything which disturbs their high self-regard.

When you testify to Congress, you are asked to submit written testimony (usually on the order of 2000-5000 words) before the hearing. Then you are asked to summarize your main points in a 5-minute oral presentation. They are different in specific wording, but comparable in scope and subject.
