I am a YUGE Trump supporter and I hate that the RNC is playing games but I honestly don’t see how it hurts Trump.

I feel the same. Trump is my #1 and Cruz is #2. My main issue with Trump is ED and Cruz is H1B. I can only hope when the time comes they have reevaluated their positions.

So let the GOPe have another debate.
Let them show off their midgets again.
There is no rule that Trump has to show up for it.
In fact, he should just have one or two campaign rallies on the "debate" days. Cruz should avoid them also. Without Trump or Cruz those debates will be more boring than watching paint dry.

I guess they’ll ask him plenty of why do you hate muslims questions...

agreed ... Trump will uses ALL debates to his advantage ...
To: servo1969
They’re trying to force Trump into burning himself out. Probably not a bad strategy.

Millions of Americans don’t need anymore debates. We’ve seen those rehearsed MSM shows.
In addition, I’ve seen 200 interviews, multiple debates, TV specials, and nightly Trump speeches
And now the MSM suggests we need more? They want to keep their commercials rolling $$.

If Trump buys a half hour of TV time at the same time the RNC debate starts ... I'll watch that instead and call it a night when he's done. If I watch it and see Cruz there too, I'll stay up and celebrate with a little whiskey :-)

Well, if he’s foolish enough to attend he will regret it. My Prediction: The Gimp will be center stage front row, and CNN will allow him to speak. Make Bet on it.

Simple. Donald should spend that evening having dinner with his family and getting some rest. The ratings will be crap, and the debate will be nothing more than mealy-mouth sound-bites for the charlatan class.

If the RNC can break a promise, so can Trump.

He’ll dodge...or he’ll say he won’t because they will say he did if he finds some excuse.
Trump loves to control and manipulate the press and those who oppose him...or at least what they say...it’s part of the game he loves playing and he’s a master of “winning” for the sake of the win....generally it’s nothing more than that...without the game he quickly looses interest even when he’s won.......he’ll arrange to come out smelling like a rose to his followers no matter which way it’s spun...or even truth be told...he has them right where he wants them and says as much.

Could backfire — on CNN.
If Trump decides to sit one out, the viewership will drop like a boulder, and CNN will lose money from advertising.
Less $$$ for CNN means less $$$ for the RNC’s cut.
