It’s easier to think of it as a force. Go back 2000 years and you see God introduced the force behind Christianity. 500 years later God introduced an opposite and equal force behind Islam. And men were no longer protected by a all-powerful God who dictated their actions, but were given a choice of which force to embrace. Do we watch out for the sake of others, trusting they will do so in kind; or do we become egocentric, where it’s every man for themselves? The ‘rewards’ of the latter cease with our demise, but extend beyond our demise in the former.
Make Christmas count this year.
