But man-woman sexual complementarity is so fundamental and so obvious—literally rooted in our bodily and psychological make-up—that only sin-induced blindness could prevent us (and our culture) from acknowledging it. The loss of (human) nature has, in fact, blocked many persons from seeing this anthropological fact as a fact.

That sums it up perfectly.

Homosexuality will always be with us. What worked in the past was rigorous social repression of the worst aspects of male homosexuality. It is the celebration of it in today’s modern world that has led to a variety of problems.

The only real cure for homosexuality (Sin) is Jesus Christ and His forgiveness.

People are too proud though.

I have tried to argue, with my Lib friends and family members, that ‘if homosexuality is, in fact, normal, then without scientific intervention, our species would die out’. No one ever has a comeback against that. I do find that arguing the religious aspects of homosexuality falls on deaf ears with them (they really don’t care what Christianity dictates)......but Libs pride themselves on respecting the ‘Laws of Nature’.

Can’t argue with the article’s premise that homosexuality is a mental illness.
Pre politically correct <1970 APA believed that was so in their DSM manual.
The Catholic Church could take a leadership role and treat the many thousands of homosexuality priests within its ranks to reverse homosexual appetite.
It would be a win-win for both parishioners and church alike!

"...I believe that clinical psychology—at least one with a sound philosophical anthropology—is most advantageous."

The article went off the rails at this point. Clinical psychology has helped NO ONE, because its premise on humanity is fatally flawed.

Dr. Mark S. Latkovic is a very brave man. When the next-generation concentration camps are open for business he will be one of the first ones marched through the gates.

“This is nothing less than a disability. To be precise, it is a psychological disorder before it is anything else. This disorder can impede the exercise of one’s freedom. To what degree we are not always certain.”

Someone finally had to say and we need to accept that homosexuality is a disability. Until we are to accept that fact, treatment and policy development towards homosexuality under the Americans with Disabilities Act will never be enacted.

We need to, in part, use the left’s rhetorical tactics, but use them honestly:

“No, I don’t think discouraging conduct that is both a violation of God’s word and the primary means of spreading an incurable and deadly disease is nasty or mean-spirited. I think encouraging young people to engage in actions with a high risk of spreading AIDS is among the most hateful things an adult can do to an innocent child. I think rejecting God’s word (as if our desires were more reliable than His infinite knowledge) is arrogant, and celebrating the rejection of God’s infallible guidance is a cruel abuse of the trust our children place in adults.”

The problem is that we back down in public, and for some parents even in front of our children. We need to articulate why moral behavior is right, and why we trust in the Lord, not just turn the other cheek when facing an attack on our children’s values.
