Our elected officials have been so conditioned (and beaten down) by political correctness in this country that even so-called conservatives reflexively conform to it - in a strange version of Stockholm Syndrome.

There are two things our current politicians are most concerned with maintaining:

1. The Money Spigot
2. Access (To the media, beltway cocktail parties, retreats, etc.)

Donald Trump who is independently wealthy and beholden to nobody is liberated from the harness of political correctness. He embodies the free spirit that all Americans used to enjoy.

GOPe pols like McConnell, Cornyn, and newly-bought ones like Ryan and Rubio are so deep into the inside-the-beltway culture, they're mainlining their addiction.
