The country’s largest Muslim advocacy and civil rights organization tonight condemned Donald Trump’s call for barring Muslims from the United States as "bigoted remarks."
"This is outrageous from someone who wants to assume the highest office,” Nihad Awad, executive director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), said at a Capitol Hill news conference, adding that Trump’s newly stated position is “un-American."
Awad opened the news conference praising President Obama’s call in his televised address Sunday not to target the U.S. Muslim community.
Against that backdrop, Awad said, "We were extremely shocked to see Donald Trump calling for a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States.”
He added: "Donald Trump sounds more like the leader of a lynch mob than a great nation like ours," calling his behavior "a great service to ISIS."

Last I saw, American’s were the victims of Islam (14). CAIR can go F themselves with dirty goat’s D. They looooove to play the victim; a wind of change is coming; perhaps they should investigate leaving on their own and getting out of our country they love to hate so much?
Trump is not going to back done.
And when he does not, the efforts of the media and the Gop will crash and subside like a big wave hitting a seawall, accomplishing nothing but sound and fury.
They think they can make Trump change his mind.
He has already calculated their response, and he has his own plans on how to play this.
The battle is joined.
Trump is NOT going to back down....nor, should he!! He is speaking the truth...and American’s are sick and tired of this murderous group being allowed to infiltrate and proliferate within our country.
Trump would not go to the extent, and trouble, of putting out a press release, on this, if he did not mean business. He always has a reason and a plan, from what I’ve been able to see....just like you said, exit.

Oh, dang, I thought there was going to be a lynching.
Here is what I want to know: Why is it, that we have to lose our rights of free speech (criticize Islam), lose our rights to self protection (guns), lose our rights to fly (TSA), or our rights to talk on the phone (NSA). And Muslims who are not even citizens are able to come in and live in our country (it still is our country right? Or, did the government take that from us?) And Muslims cannot be questioned until they mow us down.
Why is that. I personally have lost faith in our “elite”, our “government”, our “media”. I don’t think they know the right course. I don’t think they are smarter than us. I don’t think they understand how the US is set up.
We are in charge. The public is not to be feared. We do not need to be spoon fed the truth, or lied to. Or told how to think.
Our government, our media, our colleges, our “elite” are out of wack. We need to go rogue. We need to stop them, by stop listening to them. By stop giving them our money or attention. We need to vote for the people who are not part of them. I can’t be sure who is best. But I will vote for the person who is not them.
No no, put your rope away.
CAIR keeps trying to sucker America, since it’s been so easy under obama.
Trump isn’t buying their sh*t, and that’s one reason - among a great many - that he’s so popoular.
