Former Vice President Dick Cheney condemned GOP presidential front-runner Donald Trump’s proposal to ban Muslims from entering the United States.
In an interview with conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt, Cheney said the plan, which Trump announced Monday, “goes against everything we stand for and believe in.â€
“I mean, religious freedom has been a very important part of our history and where we came from,†he added.
Cheney said that there is a “serious problem†when it comes to refugees from Syria and other countries in ensuring they don’t “represent ISIS.
“You’ve got to set up a vetting process—and that’s crucial,†he said.

Cheney has always taken the goat humper’s position. He was an early leader in gay rights, helped destroy the navy after Tailhook, etc. During Vietnam literally said he had “better things to do” than serve. Has been a lifelong of the patrician GOPe Bush wing of the party.

Cheney is one of the GOPe “Trump Cards” that’s now been put into play.
Cheney is part of the Neocon-Saudi Arabian alliance that believes in the Syrian Civil War process of supporting terrorist opponents of Assad that led to the creation of ISIS.
“All the establishment GOPers are circling the wagons. They know that if Trump wins, he will completely remake the Republican Party and today’s insiders will be on the outside looking in.
They are going to seize on any opportunity to knock Trump out of this race. Even if it means handing the White House to Shrillary.”
You bet they’re getting VERY nervous about a Trump win, but I’m not so certain Trump would try to remake the Republican Party. I think he’s wise enough to know that the core members of the GOPe are not likely to change. They can’t help themselves. It’s all they know. I DO, however, think it highly likely Trump would keep all those GOPe decision makers as far from his administration as humanly possible, even if for no other reason than they keep trying to both manipulate him and destroy him. That would be a minimum of 4 years those turds have essentially zero influence in the executive branch. Many fundamental issues will be decided in those four years, and with God’s blessings, the Uniparty will be sidelined the whole time. They’re more than worried. That’s why they’ve now gone to Cheney for help, and Cheney is making himself look very foolish with this.
