You know what, I don’t like doing this, but the Cruz folks seem to think this is how the game is played, so I think Trump supporters should start playing the game by Cruz rules.
I don’t know what his plan was. All I know is that he has skeletons in his closet too.
As far as I can tell, he has never held a supervisory position, let alone a CEO of a major corporation. Here is a guy that hasn’t created one job in his life. He hasn’t had his own money on the line. He hasn’t had to meet a bottom line.
Trump has been doing deals internationally for decades. He has a sophisticated corporate structure beneath him. He has been leading men for decades, employs 25,000 people, and knows how to evaluate the bottom line and get good deals negotiated and executed.
Ted’s record isn’t pristine and his executive experience is zero.
Typical Trumpeteers, as with Trump himself, seem to do far better sleeping and calming down this way.
I don’t know about any skeletons in his closet.
I just don’t see much to commend a reformer who hasn’t managed to reform anything.
One thing you have to give Trump, he’s managed to reform the whole Republican campaign process and he hasn’t had any elective power. And he’s done it by doing nothing but running.
Looks like a triple brandy alexander, probably what I need.
And he has spent next to nothing.
The guy is sharp as a tack.
He has single-handedly gotten sanctuary cities, the 14th Amendment, and other things addressed already. I believe I read where the LASD is now checking their inmate immigration status, something they quit doing several years back. All this because of Trump and his sanctuary city comments.
It’s as if he’s already in office. Just a few days go McConnell was taking some action that would never have been taken, if Trump weren’t looking like he was going to become the nominee. I commented at the time that he didn’t want it to look like Trump made it happen. Either way, he actually did.
I agree with your angle on the reformer that hasn’t reformed. I’d cut him some slack, but nobody cuts my guy some slack.
Has it occurred to you that it is up to us -- the voters -- to do something about it. An individual Senator can't do anyting more than blow the whistle. Only we have the power to change the nature of the Congress.
Cruz had the courage to blow the whistle. Now, it's up to us.
I'm inclined to favor Cruz, though not over Trump. It's just that the die-hard Cruz supporters act like their guy has this magnificent conservative resume, and I just don't see it. Even to the point of wondering if he's just a particularly good Republican scammer as opposed to the generic Republican scammers.
They keep crowing about what he's said, but when you look at what he's done things get rather less impressive.
No, it hasn't. Because if a sitting senator can't do "anything," what chance do the voters have?
Guess "us" doing something about it means giving it to the rich guy. That sure seems to be working.
Interesting Constitutional question. I do believe we’ll need to challenge the scholars on this one.
Darlin’ please don’t feed the trolls. Cruz’s record speaks for itself—to any who have the wit and will to listen.
as opposed to the fag in charge today who is more interested in male bath houses
Agree. And our weapons have such sissy names-—Peacekeeper missile, Spirit bomber-—we need the Buttkicker Missile and the Eradicator Bomber.
“Cruz still isn’t planning on sending them out of the nation as we speak here.”

Just last week Cruz said “we will have a CONVERSATION” about what to do about those who don’t self deport. Of course, that would only happen after he is elected.
Cruz is trying to ride the fence here and it is not going to work. Why should we elect him and then find out what he is going to do?
And as far as Ted being M2T, even if he did say something a week before Trump, who heard it?
If a tree falls in the forest....
Ted is the M2T candidate to everyone except his die hard fans.
Ted has accomplished very little in his short time in the senate. He has not managed to build a coalition for any of his causes, even with like minded conservatives.
If by some miracle he is elected how do you think he would be able to accomplish anything?
He wouldn’t have the mandate that Trump would have, he wouldn’t have the ability to use the bully pulpit the way Trump would, and he would not be able to disarm the media the way Trump has.
You can dream all day long that Cruz is the second coming of Reagan and people will support him through thick and thin but it is not going to happen.
The world is different now and the only way Cruz will have any success is with Trump leveling the field first. That is something Cruz is just not capable of.
That is BS.
I have a “Hissy Fit” ONLY when you and other Ted (M2T) supporters out and out lie about Trump and his positions.
I have yet to see a Trump supporter lie about M2T.
That’s a reasoned comment. I understand where you’re coming from.
I think it’s fair to say that a number of things he doesn’t particularly care for, or that he actually does support, have not been addressed with proposed legislation.
Well, those are the big questions aren’t they. And we have very little track record to know for sure, based on what legislation he has proposed in the Senate. And then you look at his views a few years back, they aren’t what he’s trying to sell today.
SeeBS. Outstanding.
Col. West is more statist, than you know.
We don’t need academics, to lead anything. They are who is in charge now, and for the last twenty years.
The current military culture is bent beyond repair, for at least, 12 to 15 yrs.
Cruz would make an excellent CIC.
