Nonsensical Gun Control is the kind that wants to disarm you just when you need it most. It goes beyond nonsensical really. It goes all the way to tyrannical, murderous, and conspiratorial.
Former inmate of Dachau, Theodore Haas, was asked by Aaron Zelman, founder, ‘Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership’ “Did the camp inmates ever bring up the topic, “If only we were armed before, we would not be here now”?”
Hass responded:
“Many, many times. Before Adolph Hitler came to power, there was a black market in firearms, but the German people had been so conditioned to be law abiding, that they would never consider buying an unregistered gun. The German people really believed that only hoodlums own such guns. What fools we were. It truly frightens me to see how the government, media, and some police groups in America are pushing for the same mindset. In my opinion, the people of America had better start asking and demanding answers to some hard questions about firearms ownership, especially if the government does not trust me to own firearms, why or how can the people be expected to trust the government?
“There is no doubt in my mind that millions of lives could have been saved if the people were not “brainwashed” about gun ownership and had been well armed. Hitlers thugs and goons were not very brave when confronted by a gun. Gun haters always want to forget the Warsaw Ghetto uprising, which is a perfect example of how a ragtag, half starved group of Jews took up 10 handguns and made asses out of the Nazis.” (http://jpfo.org/filegen-n-z/survive.htm)
The point is obvious. When evil men are on the march, good men are only safe if armed. There is no one more concerned with the preservation of your life and that of your family more than you are. That is not a responsibility you want to trust to anyone. Ever.
I know many say that the right to keep and bear arms, like other rights, is not without limits. They say that every right has reasonable limitations that can be placed upon it.
I disagree with that premise when it comes to the 2nd Amendment.
There is no limitation on your right to defend your own life or the lives of those dear to you. Saying there is a limitation on the right to defend one’s life is a lie straight from the mouth of dictators throughout time.
It is saying that there is a time when you are SUPPOSED to give up and die. It is saying that there is a time when it is RIGHT for you to give up and die. In final analysis, it is saying there is a time when you allow some strong man to decide whether you live or die.
Instead, the correct message is this, spoken by Winston Churchill in the darkest hour of England's existence:
“... we shall fight on the beaches,
we shall fight on the landing grounds,
we shall fight in the fields and in the streets,
we shall fight in the hills;
we shall never surrender...”
Too many think we have rights because a government body wrote them down. Excellent Sign! Thanks
FUBO!
Thanks, cripplecreek.
I didn’t know that was there.
Refusenik!
Way to go Laz! You’ve got it!
We have several 1000 rounds but are now starting the process of reloading our own too.
Hell hath no fury...(8^P)
My husband has a couple of really nice .45’s and two Glocks, but he prefers the 380 for carry because it is so easily concealed. I have a special carry handbag and my 380 pits perfectly.
