You were a civilian when you got there too. The Marine Corps made you a Marine. Don’t pretend that you were born that way.

There are some who were born that way... Lewis Burwell “Chesty” Puller is one who comes to mind.
Marines are made (some at PI some at Dago) not born; some of us just happen to be born with a greater propensity for violent solutions to difficult problems.
Ask an engineer how to remove a bridge or mountain, he will tell you to get the proper equipment and dismantle it, ask a Marine and he will tell you to use more C-4.
