I’ve posted on other threads that my company is dealing with an unintended consequence of promoting unqualified females (to keep lawyers at bay) by having us men (who were bearing the brunt of long unpaid extra hours as “salaried employees”) work the same hours the salaried females work (the bare minimum). They are powerless to do anything without serious legal issues. While I have a wife and female relatives, and no issue with women in the workplace in general, the double standard is absurd and the “glass ceiling” and gender wage gap are fabrications. In fact, there are issues within the female workforce itself; childless white women resent the flexibility offered to black & Hispanic mothers, so they simply avail themselves of it for other reasons. Why wouldn’t we guys do the same? I’ve been “working like a girl” for a few years now, and after the hours I’d worked in the past it is like working a part-time job.
