I don't know what's more maddening, these outrageous comments by the lawyers or the media sucking it up and reporting it.

I've noted this to a couple of friends. The lawyer's comments are NOT directed at non-Muslims in the USA. They are meant for Muslims in the US and abroad.

It's an attempt to cast Muslims in the US as being harassed and subject to discrimination. To what end - it's being done in order to gain support from other Muslims.
