Ok, here is my answer on the specifics thing:

Trump has plenty of specifics on each policy on his website.

He doesn't TALK about a lot of these on the campaign trail because a) it goes in one ear and out the other, and b) people don't CARE if you get the economy going with a tax cut on the rich, a "fair tax," or whatever---just do it. (Here, let me remind you if the, yes, very good, Clinton economy: people didn't care that it was largely due to Reagan's tax policies, low energy prices due to Bush's Iraq war, and the Reagan-Bush victory in the Col War opening up all of Russia and Eastern Europe to trade. All people cared about was that he kept the ball rolling.)

The more important point is that people know Trump as a SUCCESSFUL winning businessman. They don't care what happens in the back room as long as the US comes out a winner.

When I think of the "specifics" of most stuff it's 90% leadership and direction, and 10% having the worker bees draft basic plans.

For ex., do you know what our strategy was at Montreal in 1941 to win WW II? Win. There was no talk of #s of divisions needed, where we would attack, etc. All FDR and Churchill concluded was "beat Germany first." So when I hear Christie babble about "adding two new carrier groups" or any tax plan that doesn't repatriate the $2 trillion in sheltered assets, then it's meaningless what some specifics are.

However, ultimately it all---and always---comes down to trust. Do you trust Cruz? Do you trust that he wants to AND CAN do what he says? I believe the former but not the latter. His record, for whatever good reasons, is not of success. He is isolated with no big "wins" in the senate. Who does he draw at rallies? Hundreds, when Trump draws tens of thousands?

As I have said before, while Cruz is a "rebel," he is still enough of an insider that I think he would be boxed in and contained. I believe (there is that faith thing) that Trump is truly independent of money, lobbyists, and most of all the DC. But ultimately you can't argue faith.

[[He doesn’t TALK about a lot of these on the campaign trail because a) it goes in one ear and out the other,]]

To the early folsk yes- to those who hold off- who are waiting for specifics- he’ll need to start getting more specific if he wants hteir vote=-

I think though he’s holding off on giving specifics simply because He doesn’t want the opposition stealing his ideas so early In the campaign- which is smart-

[[They don’t care what happens in the back room as long as the US comes out a winner.]]

True, and that’s a good point- all this ‘transparency’ crap is just that- crap- People, especially mothers, want their families safe- and don’t much care how it’s accomplished (within reason of course)

[[Clinton economy: people didn’t care that it was largely due to Reagan’s tax policies, low energy prices due to Bush’s Iraq war, and the Reagan-Bush victory in the Col War opening up all of Russia and Eastern Europe to trade. All people cared about was that he kept the ball rolling]]

That is true- it’s like eating sausage, people love it but don’t want to know what went into it-

[[Do you trust Cruz? Do you trust that he wants to AND CAN do what he says?]]

I don’t know enough about either candidate- I do think Cruz has more experience dealing with slime than trump does- and I do know Cruz has consistently tried to take a stand- at the expense of his career even (He’s ostracized by the rinos now), and that is an admirable quality for any candidate- He has been successful with bills that no one else would put forth protecting citizens- etc- He gives a run down of his accomplishments in a fox interview- it’s worth a listen because he brings out things he’s done that the public are unaware of

[[As I have said before, while Cruz is a “rebel,” he is still enough of an insider that I think he would be boxed in and contained.]]

Possibly- or he may be able to get things done- again- listen to his interview- He got things done when no one else was willing to even try-

I’m not suggesting turning to cruz- I do thinjk probably Trump will be nominee- and I’m ok with that too- just saying that cruz actually has accomplished more than the media has given him credit for, and he’s at least been willing to put forth the unpopular but necessary bills that no one else will touch- -
