Trump mocks rivals, promises to take on terrorism 'so tough you have no idea'
Washington Post ^ | 12/4/15 | John Wagner

Republican front-runner Donald Trump mocked Jeb Bush's low standing in the polls, accused Hillary Clinton of needing to rest for several days between campaign events and promised that his approach to terrorism would be "so tough you don't want to hear" during a raucous rally Friday night in Raleigh, N.C.

-snip-

Trump drew particular attention to the standing of Bush, the former Florida governor, now at 3 percent.

"Who's 3?" Trump asked. "Bush. Bush is 3. Bye bye."

Minutes later, he turned his attention to Clinton, the Democratic front-runner.

"Did you ever notice ... she wakes up ... she puts on her pantsuit, she walks in, does an event," Trump said. "You don't see her for four days, five days. You know why? She goes back home. She goes to sleep."

The way Trump is going Barbara is going to come out and kick him in the rear if Jebbie can’t do it!

volunbeer...excellent and cogent overview of the Sisyphus-like task she faces.

null and void...while you are likely somewhat joking about Arkancide...there is n-o-t-h-i-n-g people would put past the Clintons given their quest for power and relevancy.

Trump-Cruz 2016

Every election cycle we see this hopeful wishful fantasizing. WHEN is the last time a presidential candidate chose as his VP the closest runner-up in the primaries?

Stop fantasizing "we can have both!" and get real. It is about 99.99 percent likely that we will ONLY have the option of one OR the other, and seeing as how Trump's entire political record of the past 26 years is of a left-leaning political moderate, it's damned important to make the RIGHT choice, which is Ted Cruz.

I cannot believe gullible freepers are so eager to swallow this crap from a guy who only eight years ago praised Hillary and Bill to high heaven.

Trump may be a sincere patriot, but as well he is a primarily a SHOWMAN who pursued the goal of making his name a household word. Beware.

Trump's outrageousness is refreshing.

To my mind, it is only revealing. When he admits that he was WRONG WRONG WRONG and had horrible judgment only eight years ago (when he effusively praised Hillary and Bill Clinton and called McCain "a smart guy") ...

... when he publicly admits to the obvious fact that "The Donald" was MAJORLY mistaken and wrong only eight years ago but he has repented and seen the light -- then maybe I'll be impressed.

Trump, however, seems to lack humility entirely, and my guess is because his ego is just too fragile. He was unable in an interview to even admit that he ever asked God for forgiveness, so delicate is his self-evaluation and so self-absorbed is his perspective. That is a BAD THING to put in the White House.

I'm not joking in the slightest.

People have been murdered for pocket change.

How much more motive is it when someone threatens TRILLION$ in ill-gotten gains?

How much more motive is it when someone threatens the coming global caliphate?

Pray.

Pray HARD.

WHEN is the last time a presidential candidate chose as his VP the closest runner-up in the primaries?

Ever since Nixon, most VPs have been chosen not for their ability to fulfill the duties of the office of the president, but their utter unsuitability, as IMPEACHMENT insurance.

Trump will have to select a person able to fill his boots, and an even worse threat to the nest of vipers on Wall Street, the cabal of traitors in DC and the jihadist, as ASSASSINATION insurance.

And from that you extrapolate that Trump intends to appoint Cruz as VP?

"A military so good your head will spin."

A new health care plan that will be "really terrific."

And people believe him because he's marketed himself as a real estate genius, in a field of U.S billionaires where he is comparatively third-rate, but famous because of his flair for showmanship and marketing.

I am in awe of his campaign for real.

{^) I get that, I really do!

I am in awe of human nature as it transpires in repeating itself while making obvious mistakes. True patriotism, populist bombast, a love of America, and assumed brand of business acumen are what Trump brings.

He also brings a long history of political vacillation and constant trend toward left-leaning moderate. Government has been his ally in business. Electing a business mind to government is a bad idea. He sees government as "partner" in free market solutions.

Dangerous stuff, that.

“And his first act as President should be to fire the Attorney General.
Do we have one?”

We have one who was absent the day they taught the Constitution.

And even funnier if Trump said Hillary/leftism was being propped up like the dead body of El Cid.

That is in fact the truth of it, I and a few others have often said the equivalent about Hillary here on FR.

The Democrats like Obama and Hillary are frauds, elected by fake voters. They don't cheat just to keep their hand in, they cheat because it's the only way they can win. Only the MSM presents the illusion of Hillary's popularity, abetting vote fraud. That's what I thinks is happening, and why the desperate shift toward enabling illegal immigrant voting.

The answers to America's problems almost all lie in the Constitution. The only candidate who gets that and has a record of holding to that compass, is Ted Cruz, a young guy who's had that course since he was in high school about 26 years ago. In the same interim, after Ol' Donald managed five deferments to the Viet Nam draft, Trump has switched parties three times, had effusive praise for Hillary and McCain only eight years ago -- but he's a great showman and talks back to reporters with hot-headed language many Americans would love to say themselves.

That's a showman.

I'd rather have a young, cool-headed legal beagle in the White House.

Nope, but I certainly wouldn’t assert he won’t pick him based on your reasoning, which would be perfectly valid 10 years ago (and may yet be!)

Whoever trump picks will be a total bastard (or bitch) that the aforementioned vipers, traitors and muzzies would fear even more than him.

Got popcorn?

There's your mistake. You attribute what I say here to the wrong motive. If Trump gets the nomination, whatever happens afterward (possibly barring Cruz being his VP). will be of little interest to me in terms of news. As VP, Cruz will have zip actual power to influence The Donald.

It will have been lost, because the Republicans nominated another moderate, and my attention will probably move on to things that might still be persuaded. I'll be munching popcorn on other topics.

Electing a business mind to government is a bad idea. Why?

Donald Trump at a debate, in reference to his former affinity for the Clintons: "I gave to many people before this. When they call, I give. And you know what, when I need something from them two years later, three years later, I call them. They are there for me."

There for him for what? His business dealings. His pursuit of being The Donald.

More bluntly stated at the same link:

PAUL: "You've donated to several Democratic candidates. You explained away those donations saying you did that to get business-related affairs. And you said recently, quote, 'when you give, they do whatever the hell you want them to do.'"

TRUMP: "You better believe it."

Boasting about government and business working together at his whim, for his benefit. It's good for business. If you want American government to grow and prosper as a means to "help" business, vote for Trump. He was all for the bail-outs because he loves America.

The anti-business minds haven't served us very well, have they? Wrong enemy. The anti-Constitution minds are what have screwed things up.
