An ex-wife of ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi was among 13 Islamists released in swap with al Qaeda's Syrian wing in exchange for Lebanese captives on Tuesday.
Saja al-Dulaimi was seen being taken to eastern Lebanon in a convoy including Red Cross vehicles in footage aired by the Al-Jazeera television channel.
She and 12 other prisoners were handed over to Syria's al Qaeda-linked Nusra Front in exchange for 16 Lebanese security personnel who have been held hostage by the group since 2014, Lebanese security officials told Reuters and The Associated Press.

Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump said on Wednesday his plan for combating Islamic State militants involves targeting not just the group's fighters but also their families.

Trump's comments about the families of Islamic State fighters came a day after Lebanon released the ex-wife of the group's leader, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, and other jailed Islamists in an exchange with al Qaeda’s Syrian wing.
Saja al-Dulaimi, the ex-wife of Baghdadi, told Al Jazeera after her release that she wanted to return to Beirut and then leave for Turkey.

The suspected killer wife, using an alias on social media, pledged her allegiance to Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the leader of ISIS, in the hours before the massacre, sources tell ABC News.
I didn’t see this posted on FR, and question if there are any connections.
NOT what Trump had in mind...
Understandably that’s not what Trump had in mind. He was one of the few to mention the dangers of ISIS family members, and now an ISIS female recruiter and icon/martyr has been released. Her ex-husband is the one the San Bernardino female terrorist pledged her allegiance to.
Very unlikely, this was an exchange between Lebanon and the Al-Nursa Front. Al-Nursa is has a similar ideology to DAESH/ISIL but are rivals and competitors to the larger group. The leadership hate each other with a passion.
Three additional points.
1. The Red Cross assisted in the exchange.
2. Qatar brokered the “secret” deal.
3. Dulaimi was captured in 2014 after a US tip-off to Lebanese authorities.
I’m sure NBC has made the connection, already, right? LOL.
