If this is a religious attack, then all bets are off. I was leaning towards a drug gang attack (I saw that drug gangs are active in the Rialto-San Bernadino and possibly Covington areas). Also thought it might have been a domestic dispute but the planning and heavy firepower leans towards something bigger.

Just have to wait and see, at least 24 hours.

I too was leaning towards cartel/drug/gang attack, because of the area. We aren’t fifteen miles from there, but now it appears to have Islam writ all over it.
