I've only claimed that it appears that there weren't thousands and thousands.
Your link states: Jersey City Mayor Steve Fulop was adamant that Trumpâs claims about cheering Muslims were not true. âWith regard to police reports, thereâs no media reports that would substantiate that claim. In the days after 9/11 there was obviously a lot of concern across the country, and accusations at that time were found to be unfounded actually,â Fulop said.
For a refresher, let's go back to Trump's claim. âI watched when the World Trade Center came tumbling down, and I watched in Jersey City, New Jersey, where thousands and thousands of people were cheering as that building was coming down.â
The article doesn't claim that no one cheered. But only they could not substantiate Trump's claim. And again Trump's claim was thousands and thousands.
You said that no media were claiming that there was no cheering. I keep finding such claims.
“I’ve only claimed that it appears that there weren’t thousands and thousands.”
You only recently claimed that after being forced to move the goal posts to a realistic location.
“With regard to police reports, there’s no media reports that would substantiate that claim.”
According to the police they arrested 8 people on terror charges while “swarms” of others were cheering. Police officers have come out and said that hundreds were cheering as per the WaPo piece I posted.
So yes we have confirmed reports alot of people were cheering IN THE STREETS AND ON ROOF TOPS. Is it reasonable to ask if thousands.... sure but generally meaningless at this point because the media is actively lying and covering up the event.
Plus if you read what trump said it easily read not as thousands cheering solely at a specific location but in general.
