CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — An American Airlines flight attendant accused of attacking fellow crew members and two U.S. air marshals during a trans-Atlantic flight made her first court appearance Tuesday, where attorneys argued over whether she should be held in custody or released to her family.

Joanne Snow wore a black shirt, black slacks and shackles as she entered a federal courtroom in uptown Charlotte. She was flanked on her right by federal defender Elizabeth Blackwood.

Wow, she looks like Goldie Hawn after a really bad—well, I don’t rightly know. Hunter S. Thompson-grade acid trip? Acid dip? Too much 0bama, maybe? Such a sorrowful look on that face...

"the brunette with bangs and long locks in the very back of the pack"

Could that be Katharine Ross?

She would have made a fine stewardess, and her robotic replacement an even better one!

Wow. Imagine the press firestorm if an ad like that were run today.

We used to be a great nation. That ad, sexist as it might appear today, was a reflection of that.

But is it sexist? Not really when you think about it.

Men and women alike have certain requirements for certain jobs. The US military has age and height requirements to fly their planes as well as a battery of psychological and physical tests. So not every man has the qualifications to fly an F-16. And not every woman has what it takes to be a good stewardess. Not every job is for everybody. As a 6'4" man, I've ruled out a career as a horse jockey or a submariner. Also, because I have no patience for surly and unreasonable people, I've ruled out a career as a restaurant waiter or other front-line service job. People like me shouldn't be stewardesses either.

I can tell you that flying in the 1960s was a much more pleasant experience than flying today.

No, that doesn’t appear to be her.
