OK!! Everybody pay attention!

Lesson for today:

1. The sun is 1,300,000 times as big as the earth.

2. The sun is a ball of fire that controls the climates of all its planets.

3. The earth is one of the sun’s planets.

4. The earth is a speck in comparison to the size of the sun.

5. Inhabitants of the earth are less than specks.

Study Question: How do less-than-specks in congress plan to control the sun?

It’s a bad syllogism. Ebola is small too. Ricin is small.

Thermodynamics, however, is your buddy.

Energy, like matter, is neither created or destroyed. The Earth has all the matter its ever going to have. As such, what additional source of energy remains that could effect global climate? The Sun.

Get a cardboard box, cut a hole in the top and drop an incandescent bulb through the hole. Put nine (eight if you think Pluto isn’t a planet) rocks in the box and measure the temps. Vary the intensity of the bulb, measure the temp of the rocks.

If we were doing something, locally, to influence planetary climate, we’d be seeing no change in the temps of the planets in our system and a spike in the temps of Earth. As long as our temps track with our planetary neighbor’s temps, then we know it isn’t us.

Not saying we can’t poison ourselves, but the left wants us to accept 2 + 2 = 5, and I fully expect by the end it will come down to torture, arrest, and impoverishment for those that won’t attest to the obvious fact that 2 + 2 = 5.
