Just finished watching the interview. Here are a few unsolicited thoughts:
Full disclosure: I was favoring Cruz but could be persuaded otherwise.
It was a very pro-Cruz interview. After all, it was conducted by his former professor. I would like to see Trump on the program and be given the same questions for comparison’s sake.
Cruz is obviously a brilliant Constitutional scholar. He is not just an intellectual, he is a conservative intellectual. He has a mastery of history and the application of reasoning. He has an impressive mind. If any Cruz bashers deny it one need only point them to this interview.
The biggest challenge Cruz has is he lacks charisma. Love him or hate him, Trump has charisma in spades. Cruz is a bit too soft-spoken for his own good. His sincerity, however, is not in doubt. He means what he says and says what he means. His impressive resume of action, especially as Solicitor General of Texas, back this up.
I don’t always agree with Cruz but after watching this interview he leaves me feeling confident that he has a plan of action, knows how to get this country back on track and has the determination to get the job done. A President Cruz would certainly move this country in the right direction.
I agree with your comment, except that “the biggest challenge Cruz has is he lacks charisma,” and “Trump has charisma in spades.”
