Texas threatens legal action against aid agencies that want to resettle Syrian refugees

State officials are now threatening legal action against local refugee resettlement agencies if they don’t abide by Gov. Greg Abbott’s edict that they shouldn’t accept refugees from war-torn Syria.

The executive commissioner of the state Health and Human Services Commission wrote last week to the International Rescue Committee in Dallas that failure to cooperate with the state “may result in the termination of your contract with the state and other legal action.”

“We have been unable to achieve cooperation with your agency,” Chris Traylor, the executive commissioner, wrote. “Specifically, your agency insists on resettling certain refugees from Syria in the near future.”

They can start with these church based charitable organizations that are now basically in the human trafficking business.

Exactly. The biggest offender, at least here in Texas, is Catholic Charities. I understand that they get $2,000.00 for each refugee...that, to me, is the very definition of "human trafficking."

“Catholic Charities is doing the same thing in New Mexico.”

And I believe also in Southern California.

Attaboy, Greg! IMO, at least one such organization will have to be made an example of. Time’s a-wasting.

Having worked for the State of Texas many years ago, I can envision a safety inspection on one day, a food inspection the next, a child safety inspection the next, a sanitation inspection, then next, a... well, you get the picture

And, in this case, that’s not necessarily a bad thing!

Way to go, Governor! This seems like an approach that might work.

Texas should seize their assets and arrest their leaders as criminal terrorist abetting organizations

These so called "non-profit" refugee organizations are very profitable and have little to do with religion. They get paid a fixed amount for each refugee they dump on a small community. The administrators make very good salaries in the $200,000 and above range. They are not charities. They are vicious business run by true believer type liberals and commies.

70% of all refugees we take in  are Muslim...even before the Syrians came on the scene

It came out last week on FR but can’t remember the link.
Tax payer $$$ are being funneled directly into Catholic Charities for the purpose of resettling illegals.
I think the number was over $20M

Posted on FR: Obama is funneling our tax dollars directly into non-profits (and religious organizations like Catholic Charities) for the purpose of resettling these refugees..... reportedly over $20M (that we know of).

PONDER THIS There is the distinct possibility that Mideast countries are bribing Obama....paying Obama to take these actions.

Gov Abbott, and the 31 states that are also refusing Syrian refugees, should subpoena the wire-transfers in and out of Valerie Jarrrett's and Susan Rice's WH offices......to determine the scope and dimension of froeign monies being directed to Obama and to his two Clintonesque foundations.

Refugee relocation monies may also be phonied-up....characterized as "donations" to Obama's billion dollar "library fund"---schedueld to be built in Chicago.

THIS JUST IN News outlets report that Obama is on the warpath against the. And is threatening legal action on the 31 states...using federal laws to undermine the states' sovereignty.
