The MSM is hung up on trying to destroy Trump. John Hinderaker of Powerline had this exchange of tweets with Glenn Kessler, the WP fact checker, who gave Trump four Pinocchios for his remarks on the celebrations. It clearly shows there is a MSM agenda as surrogates for the Dems to attack Trump, even if it means lying and distortion. Note: Hinderaker is not a big supporter of Trump.

Give me a break. Trump is not behind the MSM's obsession with his remarks on 9/11 Muslim celebrations. The MSM, the Dems, and some of Trump's GOP opponents think they have an issue that can take Trump down. It fits their narrative of Trump as a bigot, racist, and xenophobe. The fact that Muslims vote 80% Dem plays a role in the manufactured controversy.
