Don’t you need electricity to run your radio to listen to talk radio? He didn’t have electricity so how did he hear talk radio.

I have two radios with hand cranked generators backed up with small fold out solar panels. Only one has shortwave, both have AM, FM, Marine Band, and Weather Band. Both are capable of charging cell phones and other such devices.
