I was sitting in a meeting with my director and he was talking about a company we do business with exclusively holding it's operations in America. He said, “he couldn't believe they weren't taking some of their operations to China”.

All the while he was twirling his smart phone...with an American flag covering.

During the American Revolting these people were called Torys. Many ended up swinging from lamp poles.

This is the economic equivalent of having ISIS point a gun at you while they tell you to dig the grave that they will throw the rest of your body in (after removing your head).

The FIRST POLITICIAN, of either party, to understand this will be a SHOE-IN for the White House.

Oh, never mind, Trump understands it...so that’s that.

I would love to see a lawyer take a class-action lawsuit against any company that makes training replacements, and silence about it, a condition of severance pay. That smacks of extortion. Severance pay is supposed to be for unexpected layoffs of long-term employees so they can cover their bills while looking for a new job. It has morphed into a sword over their heads to coerce them into preparing their replacements as a strategic business decision, not as a reaction to a sudden business climate downturn.

I work for a large global corporation for 30+ years, and slhhomce was only conditioned on continued professional behavior until the sever date. In my company, we have had our share of up and down swings, and even had off-shoring as well as headcount reductions, but fortunately we did not engage in wholesale replacement of the workforce. We have even moved into new countries and hired into the corporation instead of off-shoring additional 3rd-party labor.

To me, holding severance pay at risk is unethical and should be illegal.

Of course what Trump was saying is that if you’re going to run on an Anti-Illegal Immigrant platform, it is a good idea to SOUND CREDIBLE when proposing it.

Given Romney’s history on Illegal Immigration and his choice of (now-House Speaker, and rock-solid Amnesty supporter) PAUL RYAN as a running mate, it was OBVIOUS to conservatives that Romney was simply throwing out that line (about ‘self-deportation’) to try to get through that debate and he NEVER had ANY INTENTION to carry through.

Which is why 4 MILLION Republican voters stayed home in 2012.

It would be interesting to get Mr. Trumps position on the Disney Displacement. TWB

Yes, I think most here know what it is, but to actually hear him say it would be heartening.

I am losing strength for Cruz, and H1B is a big part of it. I need to hear him go hard WITH us on this, now. It’s an elephant in his kitchen.

I’m believing PAC indebtedness is a new evil, which has its control tendrils in Cruz and all the others, except Trump.

WASHINGTON: Republican US presidential hopeful Donald Trump has asked Entertainment giant Walt Disney to hire back every employee they replaced with low-wage H-1B workers, including Indians, and vowed to take action against firms that replace American workers if elected to the top job.

Disney in June had laid off about 250 employees and replaced them with Indians holding H1-B visas .

"I am calling today on Disney to hire back every one of the workers they replaced...," Trump ..

This has been going on in American school systems for more than a decade, but no one cared because teachers are fun to hate, and screw em’ anyway. When jobs left the country it was good economics, but now the jobs that are leaving are American workers being replaced without corporations having to leave. Why go through the hassle of leaving when you can stay put, and still screw American workers, who we all know are fat-assed lazy, incompetent slackers anyhow. What is happening at Disney’s is another aspect of what has been driving illegal immigration. Disney knows that imported workers can get on a food stamp program, get federal housing assistance, and cash welfare, not to mention cut rate Obamacare, paid for by middle class American workers who can’t afford the co pays and deductibles, so they skip going to the doctor, leaving more space for illegals in the waiting rooms.

Oh, thanks.

I did hear him say that and forgotten.

Trump is the only one talking about protecting American jobs.

The only one.

How disappointing.

‘’do you trust the judgment of Jeff Sessions’’

I believe he was Trump’s go-to guy at the beginning of the campaign when everything took off for him. If so, then I guess I trust him. (But why is he with Cruz now? hmmmm...)

Look for international editions.

Don’t forget his vote on the Corker Bill, which turned the Constitution upside down—a bill that did us more damage, arguably, than the Iran deal itself.

He can bactrack all he wants on issues that Trump has been first on, but he won’t fool those of use who have been keeping score.

It's not just Senator Jeff Sessions working with Ted Cruz on H-1B legislation. Cruz has also received the strongest possible endorsement of Rep. Steve King (R-IA-4). As FReeper kabar describes King and Sessions, they have been the "gold standard on immigration issues".

Rep. Steve King's announcement to endorse Ted Cruz was a remarkable statement on several levels. Rep. King said, "I believe that Ted Cruz is the candidate who is the answer to my prayers - a candidate God will use to restore the soul of America." That is not your typical endorsement on policy agreements alone in my experience, but rather a strong signal to evangelical Christians in his state of Iowa and elsewhere in the USA. It certainly got our attention in Texas.
