I won’t be surprised if the Magnificent Mile shutters it doors and moves out of downtown Chicago.

It could happen. State Street is damn' near dead. Macy's is the only "anchor" left there after Carson Pirie Scott closed up shop a few years ago and Sears left.

Before Macy's took over and renamed Marshall Fields, wife and I went there every year for breakfast by the Christmas Tree. After our kids were born we'd take them and the grandparents there every year. Breakfast, annual coffee mugs and annual picture by the tree. Once Macy's took it over, we quit. I hate Macy's and State Street is just a run down craphole of a street with nothing left on it.
