On Tuesday, after the Russian warplane was shot down by Turkey, Russia's president Vladimir Putin said:
ISIS has big money, hundreds of millions or even billions of dollars, from selling oil. In addition they are protected by the military of an entire nation [i.e.,Turkey]. One can understand why they are acting so boldly and blatantly. Why they kill people in such atrocious ways. Why they commit terrorist acts across the world, including in the heart of Europe.
Russia's Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev alleged on Wednesday that Turkish officials were benefiting from ISIS oil sales, while Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said it was no secret that "terrorists" use Turkish territory.

Kick them out of Nato, just more proof that Turkey can’t be trusted. Imagine here we are fighting ISIS and Turkey is funding them by purchasing oil.
Not just FReepers. A while back I caught Mark Levin on the radio railing against "this bozo, Tyler Durden at Zerohedge". Mark, clearly didn't know anything about "Tyler" or the website. It wasn't but a few months later that Mark was actually praising the "good work" being done at Zerohedge.
Apparently someone cleared things up for him.

The big question is does this bring down the Turkish government? The army there has a long history of siding against the government in times of unrest however Erdogan has done exactly what Obama has done which is remove a lot lot of top brass.
Erdogan has purged a bunch of officers. Several years ago anticipating a day like this.

While everyone’s eyes are on Egypt and its possible Islamization, something even more significant is going on under the wire in Turkey.
The government of Turkish Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan took a major step towards consolidating its regime by conducting what amount to show trials of high ranking military officers and political opponents on charges that they attempted to overthrow Erdogan’s Islamist government in 2003.
A Turkish court ruled Friday, February 12th that 133 current and former Turkish military officers must be immediately arrested and jailed pending the outcome of their trial on charges of plotting to overthrow the government and issued warrants for the immediate arrests of 29 other officers.”
I don’t believe any Islamist government has ever relinquished power except at gunpoint.
I’d guess you’re correct but Khaddafy for instance had seemingly changed after Reagan bombed him. He may not of left but he was different.
