” “Article 5” specifically covers only “Armed attacks IN Europe or North America”. Turkey is not in Europe — NOT EVEN CLOSE!! and there is ABSOLUTELY NO ARTICLE 5 treaty agreement for attacks TURKEY —NONE!! It would be ILLEGAL!! “

1. Turkey is considered in EurAsia with parts in each continent.

2. The NATO perspective is that Turkey is part of Europe as it is at the crossroads of Europe and Asia. NATO is a serious defense agreement. Russia will do nothing directly to Turkey.

I am just going by GEOGRAPHY!! What a joke. There is no subjective boundary to Europe. Turkey is in the Middle East not in Europe. The Treaty doesn’t say we have to defend the Middle East. ONLY “ EUROPEAN members or North America”!!
