I agree. Nuclear powers with weak conventional forces relative to their adversaries will increasingly be tempted to fight a limited nuclear war to achieve their goals.
Like World War I fighing over the death of an Archduke and Serbian Terrorism (that’s what it was) kicked it off and 11 million folks died—and set things up for a Hitler to step in and fight a new war 20 years later—that cost 62 million people. Little things build up—BUT do we want a world war over Syria? Is Obama’s Ego so important that it must cost 100 Million Lives? This time —we might not win. We do not have the same base—the same wealth—the same courage as in 1941. We could lose a great deal.
