Anyone paying attention to the mess yesterday knows the downing of the Jet was more about the Turkmen than violated airspace. It will be intersting to see now what Erdogan does.

True...always remembering there’s no love lost between the Turks and the Russians.

Russia, please nuke Turkey.
Erdogan is a freaking Islamofascist, and Turkey is an enemy to western civilization, and a primary supporter of ISIS (after Obama’s CIA).

Exactly. The Syrian Turkmen fighting Assad are going to have hell to pay for the Russian jet. And I think Erdogan is going to pay a real price; the timing will be at Putin’s choice.

I believe the Kurds are setting up an embassy in Moscow
Not sure which faction, the Kurds are divided among themselves which is how the West would want them to be to avoid upsetting turkey and Iraq
The Kurds have got to realize how they are being played by obama’s faux war against sunni radicalism and go with their best option, which right now would appear to be Russia and Iran

I think it’s time for “an enemy of my enemy is a friend” time. Russians are known for exploiting this phenomenon. I suspect Putin will back the Kurds. Don’t be shocked if the Russians move weapons to Syrian Kurdish territory or put AA SAs over there.

Donât be shocked if the Russians move weapons to Syrian Kurdish territory or put AA SAs over there.Funding foreign insurgents is a low cost high reward maneuver the Russians perfected during the Cold War. Handing the latest MANPADS and SAM systems to the PKK could ground the Turkish Air Force.
