Ted Cruz's moment has arrived.
Less than 10 weeks before Iowa voters their cast the first votes of the presidential campaign season in Feb. 1 caucuses, a new Quinnipiac poll shows the Texas senator statistically tied with Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump for the lead in the state. Perhaps not so coincidentally, Cruz is tentatively beginning to take on the brash New York billionaire after months of cozying up.
Twice in recent days, the Texan has seized opportunities to distance himself from Trump's policies and rhetoric. First, Cruz disagreed with Trump after the New Yorker expressed openness to setting up a registry of Muslim Americans in the wake of the Paris terrorist attacks. "I'm a big fan of Donald Trump's but I'm not a fan of government registries of American citizens," Cruz told reporters in Iowa, according to Politico. "The First Amendment protects religious liberty, I've spent the past several decades defending religious liberty."
Then over the weekend, he politely chided inflammatory rhetoric from fellow Republicans on immigration, when asked about Trump during an interview with the Associated Press. "Tone matters," Cruz said. "Are there some in the Republican Party whose rhetoric is unhelpful with regard to immigration? Yes." Cruz's campaign said to expect more distinctions to come.

Bob had the inside scoop - thanks Bob!
Any time.
Sure thing.
The PURE ANGER that the guy had towards Trump almost melted my radio. He was CONVINCED that the only path to victory was Amnesty or at least promising it, and Trump blew that out of the water. The idea of giving a crap as to what the base thinks is TOTALLY ALIEN to them. They figure, I guess, that the Dems will run someone we all hate (like Hillary) and we all will come out and vote against her. That was indeed true for 80% of us. The only problem is that it left out 20% of the base...and the samples they’re putting forward this year would be lucky to even get 70% of us to vote - and if they collude to get rid of Trump, maybe 50%.
*GREAT MINDS THINK ALIKE
That whole damned "TONE" thing has driven me up the proverbial wall, since they started hitting Trump with it! The rest of them all have a "tone" too.....none of which connects/makes them sound like a leader/keeps us awake.
Right on with the W not fighting back nor getting rid of all of the Clintonistas!
Thank you for not calling me something I am not.
The information about Mr.Robert Mercer that I provided is common knowledge. If you believe that shows a lack of integrity, so what?
Have a nice day.
Here, allow me to add a few more items to your list of wet dreams:
After Ted Cruz ...
“Parts the Red Sea”
“Feeds 5000 with 2 loaves and 5 fish”
“Turns water into wine”
“Restores sight to the blind”
“Makes the deaf to hear and the lame to walk”
“Cures the lepers”
Oh, yeah, almost forgot ...
“Raises the dead”
I’ll just bet you cannot wait for his canonization, eh?
