The fact is that anthropogenic warming of the atmosphere is real.
The atmosphere, especially just above ground level, is being warmed artificially. There are at least dozens of ways we warm the air.
One of the largest is the automobile engine. Cool air in, hot air out. Expand that by every type of engine known to man.
Electric engines ? Still put out heat. Home AC units... put out a lot of heat. All types of cooling systems from homes to skyscrapers put out heat. Home Furnaces put out heat. Same applies to heating for large buildings
Then there are the giant heatsinks we have installed everywhere on the planet. Most know them as HIGHWAYS and PARKING LOTS. They help keep it artificially warmer.
The LIE about global warming is that it has anything to do with CO2.
It only has to do with artificial(man made) heat. But.... it’s hard to sell coupons for ‘heat’ escaping into the atmosphere.
It’s hard to sell people on believing they must give up all forms of artificial heat or cooling or parking lots or highways and streets or cars or lawn mowers or trains or semis (or HEMIS).
Even so, we only manage to ‘change’ the ‘weather’ on a local scale (with our artificial heat). We have not lived long enough to to have a historical record of how much minor local weather changes affect long term climate around the planet. So there is really little point to the controversy, except for MONEY.
So... CO2 became the designated sacrificial goat.
I just put another log on the fire. Nice and toasty now.
The biggest problem is that include the urban warming in the global temperature calculation. They do not correct for urbanization in any way. There is in fact no metadata whatsoever that tells the algorithm how much urbanization has taken place. They simply spread that extra warming into neighboring stations and add it all up.
