It's true they are on the same page. But as long as Turkey is in NATO we are going to have a base there and use it most of the time (the exception being the times they say no). If they turn out to be unreliable enough they should be booted from NATO and ignored.
I certainly wouldn't mind seeing Russia show Turkey a little muscle and gladly let Turkey twist in the wind afterwards. Just for fun.
