NATO should have been disbanded in 1992. Now our “tripwire” includes such regimes as Turkey and Albania. Its security theater and a very dangerous arrangement.

Really? Why do you think countries like Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Latvia, Estonia, and Lithuania were so eager to join NATO? Have the Russians lost their appetite for Empire? How reassuring is it to have a KGB thug in charge of Russia?

How reassuring would it be to have ISIS in charge of the Middle East, with a wink and a nod from those Muzzie-scum supporters aka Erdogan and Obama?

Playing world-cop for 28 nations of Europe is an expensive proposition. 28 individual trip-wires in Europe is also a dangerous proposition. Let Europe defend itself. Under the present situation, we are both subsidizing and allowing the creeping Islamization, and socialism of Europe. This destructive trend is what NATO and the EU regime is supporting and pursuing right now. This is the new threat. The Soviet Union and its ideology is dead. Time to move your understanding into the future.
