What specific foreign policy questions, if any, was Trump asked in those debates?

While the others discussed their views and visions of foreign policy, especially during Debate #2, Trump stood silently.

One question he fielded on the subject centered on how he would deal with the problem of the Russians in Syria. Trump said, "I would get along with a lot of the world leaders that this country is not getting along with.”

Deep... very deep... Unmatched brilliance. /s

Trump stood silent...as opposed to constantly interrupting, a la Fiorina and Kasich? What a gripe.

Selectively editing the answer gains you no points. Trump said the answer to many world issues/problems is a resurgence in respect for the USA—which he would bring about.

Asked about Russia’s deepening military involvement in Syria, Trump characterized the problem as one of a lack of respect for U.S. leadership, saying that Putin has “zero” respect for President Obama.

The entrepreneur and GOP campaign frontrunner said he would talk to Putin and “would get along with him. I believe – and I may be wrong, in which case I’d probably have to take a different path. But I would get along with a lot of the world leaders that this country is not getting along with.”
