These former Ottoman borders are all artificial and join up so many ethnicity and religions and sects. The break up of the Ottoman empire has been Europe's and the world's problem since the 1800s.

Some empires are "good" empires like the British and Romans and tend to leave the people and places they rule better off. But Turkey's empire was a horrible empire - built around Islamic slavery and fear. It will never be right over there as long as this fact is not realized and addressed.
