Legendary conservative radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh explained to his vast audience a key difference between current Republican presidential frontrunner, real estate tycoon and reality TV star, Donald Trump and Texas Senator Ted Cruz, who has been running in third or fourth place behind Trump and Dr. Ben Carson, with Marco Rubio also in the mix.

On Mondays broadcast, the influential Limbaugh gave an analysis of the GOP race to the nomination, praising Cruz as being ideally positioned to be the nominee should Trump or Carson falter, and as the only " thoroughbred conservative."in the race.

"I think that there is a dark horse in this entire thing, and I think there is one candidate who is positioned here," Rush said. "There has been somebody trucking along here, steady-eddy, that has continued to be who he is and continues to lay down foundational markers for himself and thats Ted Cruz. And I think Ted Cruz is, is positioned, I would say ideally, "he contended.

However you look at it, Cruz has a more conservative resume than Trump. Trump has way more charisma and influence than Cruz.

Yes, but he compounded his error by loudly and actively advocating the constitutional virtues of TPA—trying to sell it to the conservative base.

And I don’t buy the “strategic mistake”. Cruz has got big big-business donors and he’s not stupid.

Unquestionably Cruz is much more likely to consider the Constitution in his decision making.

" Remember back when you were even questioning whether or not I was a Christian just because I don't support your candidate? "

Well, it's been established that you're a liar, so I'm not surprised at this one.

More than once, in response to one of your hysterical name-calling diatribes, I told you to go on back to the Religion forum and pretend to be sanctified.

So consider it said once more.

Getting back to my original point, you really shouldn't allow yourself to become so emotionally involved with a political candidate. It's not seemly. If you could manage to step back and get a grip on your feelings, your behavior might improve.

Ultimately, I voted yes on final passage because it may delay, slightly, President Obama's ability to lift the Iran sanctions and it ensures we will have a Congressional debate on the merits of the Iran deal.

At least Cruz is honest about this bill and isn’t acting as though it were some big victory, like McConnell and Corker.

Let me see if I understand this, Cruz is honest in telling us he voted for TPA and the corker bill as a favor to us? Ya, that's the ticket. We'll have a debate after it's passed, wonder where I have heard that before?

RE: Cruz has got big big-business donors and he’s not stupid.

Sure he has. How do you expect him to raise funds for his campaign? He’s not a billionaire like Trump.

The question to ask is this — Is he beholden to them? Do these donors have ulterior motives ( AKA quid pro Quo ) when they support him?

Looking at his record, did he, during his time at the Senate craft bills that help the businesses or interests of these donors directly?

We need good evidence to show that the answer to the question is “Yes”.

Nobody said Cruz is perfect. He makes mistakes just like you and me.

Even Reagan as President made mistakes.

Two of the biggest one was his agreeing to a tax hike in exchange for spending cuts ( the hike came, the cuts did not ).

The other one is his signing the 1987 amnesty bill in exchange for strict enforcement of immigration laws.

And let’s not forget Reagan when he was governor. He signed the Therapeutic Abortion Act, after only six months as California governor.

If conservatives cut Reagan slack for these mistakes and vote for him, why not Cruz?

Let’s not forget that Even Reagan, the most conservative President of the 20th century ( side by side with Calvin Coolidge) made mistakes.

This would be absolutely forgivable if Cruz actually admitted the mistakes, instead of engaging in behavior and statements designed to deceive his supporters.

"So says the hysterical, emotionally involved, lying witch."

See? This is what I mean.

And no, I'm not the liar. We've established that you have a habit of untruths:

" Remember back when you were even questioning whether or not I was a Christian just because I don't support your candidate?"

is not at all the same as:

"I told you to go on back to the Religion forum and pretend to be sanctified."

BTW. want to double down on "Mark Levin is a monkey"? That one took the cake, even for you.

is not at all the same as:

Only an idiot would admit telling people to "go to the religion forum and PRETEND to be sanctified" and yet deny they're questioning a fellow's salvation.

You are stupid and nasty.

He's a stupid Chimpanzee, a knuckle dragging buffoon, an idiot and, in the words of Michael Savage, a low down fraud, who bans folks from his facebook page if they ask him inconvenient stuff that would require him to spend 5 minutes vetting the candidates he carries water for.

LOL, says the person who thinks salvation and sanctification are the same thing.

Minor point, but questioning one’s progress in the sanctification process is not the same as questioning their salvation. In a manner of speaking she was suggesting that you “grow up”.

This is fantastic. Who knows how many Trump supporters, already wavering, are seeing this and thinking, yeah, this isn't me...I really need to reconsider. Not to mention the lurkers who are reading you and being turned away from Trump because some of his fans are, well...nuts.

The really funny thing, though, is that Levin could compliment your hero tonight and you'd retract it all,LOL.

Ugh, as stupid as this splitting of hairs is, FYI, you pair of fools, sanctification must follow justification, or one isn't justified.

But Catherine is lying anyway, since I remember distinctly she wasn't asking me to "grow up," but was pointing to some long forgotten theological debate we must have had (and she probably came out the bad end of it), and was calling me a hypocrite and a fake Christian who "goes to the religion forum to spout scripture and look sanctified."
