Legendary conservative radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh explained to his vast audience a key difference between current Republican presidential frontrunner, real estate tycoon and reality TV star, Donald Trump and Texas Senator Ted Cruz, who has been running in third or fourth place behind Trump and Dr. Ben Carson, with Marco Rubio also in the mix.

On Mondays broadcast, the influential Limbaugh gave an analysis of the GOP race to the nomination, praising Cruz as being ideally positioned to be the nominee should Trump or Carson falter, and as the only " thoroughbred conservative."in the race.

"I think that there is a dark horse in this entire thing, and I think there is one candidate who is positioned here," Rush said. "There has been somebody trucking along here, steady-eddy, that has continued to be who he is and continues to lay down foundational markers for himself and thats Ted Cruz. And I think Ted Cruz is, is positioned, I would say ideally, "he contended.

RE: I say look at TPA and yes, he does.

OK, yes he does, what follows.... he does not deserve to be President if he were the candidate?

RE: You wished. I’ll be voting for Trump.

Well, let’s be honest, you’ll be voting for Trump despite his not being conservative and his being inconsistent himself on other issues.

Seek said, “Trump supports the Kelo vs City of New London Decision of the Supreme Court where the taking of private property by the government in order to build hotels and casinos for “economic development” was deemed compatible with the constitution.

Ted Cruz does not.”

GPH replied, “Yes he does. He supports the Keystone Pipeline. All the GOP does. And like the GOP, he’s not going to push for a constitutional amendment to fiddle with eminent domain laws anytime soon.”

*******************

Yeah, because not pushing for a constitutional amendment is EXACTLY like stealing a private citizens house to build a parking garage for limos! Yep, Cruz and Trump are exactly the same on this issue!

Jeesh, things get crazier and crazier on this site.

No, he should be given the same forbearance as Trump should be forgiven. Cruz is not a perfect candidate. IMO he’s the second best we have and would be strengthened as a presidential candidate by 8 years as Trump’s jr. partner.

My response would neither be lie nor truth, just an opinion. And my opinion would be of no value to you because apparently you have looked into the heart of Ted Cruz and already know the answer.

A completely stupid reply. Either it is true or not true. You cannot say that Cruz is simply wrong as a matter of "opinion" when he is accusing Team Rubio of falsehood. Either Rubio is guilty of telling outrageous lies, or he isn't, and Cruz did indeed support legalization and H1-B visas, even after the Gang of Eight fight was over. But if Rubio isn't lying, then that can only mean Cruz is. There's no middle ground here. And save the whole "looking into his heart" unfairly judging crap!

You are a nut.

And you are a stupid monkey who can't give a reasonable reply, so you'll just give a trollish reply instead.

RE: No, he should be given the same forbearance as Trump should be forgiven.

Good, we are on the same page, although I’d vote for Cruz in the primaries.

Nobody’s perfect and we should not expect perfection. The important thing are the issues he fights for.

You put out an either/or scenario then asked me if it was a lie?

That is nuts. But since your idol is Michael (change my name) Savage, I shouldn't be surprised.

OK-- I was challenging you to take a stance on what was true or false, which you clearly punted on.

Just checked. You are still nuts.

And you're still a stupid monkey who dishonestly won't even take a stance on something easily verifiable, but will then call me a "nut" because I'm not a coward like unto you.

No one’s running for Prez who is as strong on and knowledgeable of social issues, national security issues and economic issues. Cruz has no weak spots in the three major conservative planks. If you want someone who will appoint SC justices who can right the ship on abortion and marriage, someone who will be pro-military without turning us into a police state, and someone who will cut taxes and cut spending and balance the budget, Cruz is the only man who fits the bill.

These minor, silly issues you talk about, and where you consistently skew and exaggerate whatever Cruz said about them, are small potatoes next to the leadership on all of the above which we desperately need and which no other candidate provides.

We are really being had in this country as far as conservative policy from Republicans is concerned. Paul Ryan and John Boehner have saddled the country with 20 trillion dollars in debt for the next president.

I can hear that fact being used by the next President and Congress to raise taxes through ‘reform’ of existing ones and or the creation of new ones like a national sales tax of some sort.

This will come from Democrats and Republicans......

If you didn’t read the TPA bill, it was your own fault. It was available to the public mid April. As a matter of fact, the entire text was posted on FR more than once. Cruz voted “No” on the TPA bill that went to the President’s desk. That is the vote that counted.
