The King of Sweden has called for a ban on baths to help save the environment. King Carl XVI Gustaf, who once had a reputation as a lothario and is now a staunch environmentalist, said he realised how much water and energy they used when he was recently staying somewhere without a shower. The 69-year-old âgreen kingâ told Swedish newspaper Svenska Dagbladet: âIt hit me how much water and energy it used. âI thought âI canât believe Iâm having to do thisâ. I felt quite ashamed.â Apparently in jest, he added: âWe should ban all baths.â The Swedish head of state said he now drives an eco-friendly hybrid car, turning around his lifelong reputation as a âpetrolheadâ. âWhen I drive into town, itâs on electricity,â he said. Much like the Prince Charlesâs overhaul of Highgrove House with âeco toiletsâ, the Swedish kingâs residence has been made greener with environmentally-friendly heating and low-energy lightbulbs.

Jake and Elwood see what you did there.
Next thing you know he'll be banning four fried chickens and a coke.
The first time I ever heard "Minnie the Moocher" was in a Betty Boop cartoon where Cab Calloway dances during the title sequence, but he is a voiceover for a walrus in the cartoon itself.
“She had a dream
About the King of Sweden
Been skipping baths
That he was needin”
Almost better than the original
The Swedes have gone beyond stupid into outright insanity.
it’s time for Sweden to have a revolution and depose their monarchy , then 100% reverse their immigration/refugee policies .
this effort should be led by SWEDISH WOMEN !
That was as excellent as it was weird. Thanx!
No, he does not want to ban all baths. It was a joke and the start of the thread also mentions this.
It is rather depressing to see how many have fail to notice this. Obviously, they only read the headline and nothing else.
