Yes I ranted.
Let me give a more measured response and address this statement “As long as anyone practices their faith peacefully and doesn’t seek to force it onto others”.
That is a reasonable approach for Christians, and Jews and Buddhists, and even Hindus.
It is not a reasonable approach for any muslims.
Why?
Because ALL muslims, sunni, shia whatever, believe that ALL governments must come under sharia law. Conversion is not really their object - sharia law is. ALL muslims means those who engage in terror, and the guy next door who is seemingly nice and doesn’t beat his wife (something that is perfectly legal under sharia).
Because ALL muslims want ALL governments to fall to sharia - ALL muslims are mortal enemies of ALL other cultures.
Period.
There are no exceptions.
Just different views on how to get there.
So by definition, no muslim can “practice their religion peacefully” because they are working, one way or another, to overthrow Western (and every other) culture.
Referring back to my rant - according to sharia law, if a girl is raped she has to have 3 witnesses that can back up her story. Never going to happen. So what happens in practice, all over the islamic world, is that girls and women, and boys get raped and then get punished for it. In many places the punishment is being gang raped.
Islam is not just a religion, it is also a political system bent on domination. There is no co-existing with it. And historically it has only EVER been eradicated by the use of extreme violence.
So that group didn’t go too far. It didn’t go far enough. But I applaud them for what they did.
IMO.
