Yes. Crucifixion is probably the worst and most painful method of execution. It starts with hopelessness as your wrists and ankles are destroyed by the spikes so you know that even if you are granted a reprieve, you will be crippled for life. Then, the actual execution begins and it gets really bad for hours or even days.
But, I’m a softy, so I’d permit the executioner to end their suffering with a spear to the heart if they just renounce allah in the presence of their fellow jihadi prisoners (who know that they are next).
