No surprise. Unfortunate that it’s taken so long for people to finally wake up.
The left, including a Soros-backed Christian group is going all out to “guilt” Americans into accepting these refugees. But the guilt does not have to work. A test for immigration is assimilation, and the fact is, a lot of these dispossessed cannot assimilate here. It is abusive to have them travel this far. They need to be taken in by their “peaceful” brethren in countries closer to home, where they have a chance of their “religion” being understood. The fact is, “Christian groups” have a lot of money to lose, in the form of federal grants and programs under the Refugee Resettlement Act, if those programs are defunded, and that’s why all the screaming. Catholic Charities, the Catholic Bishops, and the Lutherans are used by the feds to spearhead these programs.
It was, in large measure, the over-the-top ‘outrage’ from the left that accompanied any attempt at vetting or criticism of Obama that suppressed any widespread concern about his agenda and background. Anyone who dared was immediately characterized as either racist or a fringe nut. There was never any room for or tolerance for a discussion about what he believes and what his agenda is. Couple that with the fact that he is very good at using a calm voice and projecting ‘reasonableness’.
It has only been after he's displayed his unyielding ideologically driven self, time and time again, that people have actually started ‘getting it’ on a larger scale. You can bet, however, that if he were running again at this point, there would be ongoing suppression again of any discussion or vetting. Such are the politics of the USA at this point in history.
