Ascension has a large labor union population that work in the petrochemical industries on the Mississippi River. I own some property in that parish, inherited from my Mother who grew up there. My Father was from the area, too. Have lots of kinfolk there.
I believe the Vitter people said but too too frequently that Edwards has voted only once on an issue favorable to the petrochemical industry. He is a big taxer in waiting, but LA people can’t be persuaded until it happens.
