“...symbols of the two other faiths that celebrate holidays during this holiday season – namely symbols commemorating Hanukkah and Kwanzaa. “

Remind me again which faith kwanzaa belongs to. I think it’s for Marxism, not any religion.

As one who has fought for our country and needed to utilize the VA, this is disheartening.

There is no such thing as a person without a belief system.

No man or women can separate a their morality from their beliefs, or separate a their actions from their morality.

While there are many in our society today who are ignorant and confused, from the core or heart of Fabian Socialism to Marxism is Humanism.

Take even a cursory look at Humanist Manifesto I or Humanist Manifesto II.

It was the underlying humanistic beliefs (faith) of socialist and communist which proactively sought to eliminate all derivatives of Christianity and religion around the globe in the last century.

Any individual who believed he or she was first individually responsible for their actions to a sovereign God and His laws, could not simultaneously or first be responsible to a sovereign human morality and governance. Such an individual would be too individually responsible, and well, individualistic. Such an individual or society would not be so docile and reliant, or go along with theft of property, or need central government control of economy and redistribution of resources.

Sovereign government cannot exist in a society made up of individually responsible and therefore, free individuals.

It was for this reason, the number of those killed and persecuted by socialists and communists was staggering in the very recent last century. From Central and Eastern Europe through China, and often in the continent of Africa and Latin America, Christians were often slaughtered or persecuted for their beliefs by socialist and communist governments.

Additionally, regardless of any courts opinion, at the end of the day, humanism does possess all of the basic tenants of belief system or faith.

At its core, Humanism requires real faith that in all of the universe, (which we are comparatively much less than a speck of dust, and know little about), there is no God.

As there cannot be two co-equal sovereign authorities, one with pure morality, and one with little morality and the desire for self gratification, the concept of God cannot co-exist in a humanist society, and must be eliminated.

Society (man) then ultimately becomes subject to man and mans morality, and his own self gratification to highest levels of government. History is already full of horrific leaders who acted without moral boundaries, or their own moral depravity.

Faith that God does not exist elevates man to god. With Humanism, belief in God is replaced by belief in man, and when this belief system is adopted by enough of the population of any society, the humanist belief system is then forced on the remaining segments of society with prejudice.

It is for this reason, the Humanist Manifesto I referred to humanism as a religion, and John Dewey referred to humanism as a “common faith”. Humanists themselves called humanism the “new religion” for well over a century. Humanism was called the “religion without revelation” by Julian Huxley.

It is also the reason why the US Supreme Court ruled once again as late as the 1961 in Torcaso v. Watkins (367 U.S. 488), “the no establishment clause of the First Amendment protected more than churches of theistic faiths.” The SCOTUS concluded it was not for the government or its agents to probe beliefs, and its inquiry was concluded by “the fact of the profession of belief.”

As such, you are right in calling out Kwanza and its tie to individuals who were or are communist.

However, humanism is the very cornerstone and foundation of Marxism, and what our government is dictating now is the pure establishment of a humanistic faith and belief system (with their morality), and is by force acting to eliminate the practices of those with different beliefs and faith. This is real prejudice.

Isn’t it interesting, we can celebrate Islam and Halloween, and use Gods name to curse all day long in any public forum, school, or work place, or give federal tax payer dollars to promote “artistic” expression which explicitly mocks everything to do with God or Christ, or those who believe in Him, but it is against policy and illegal for a person to “exercise thereof”.

Christians in America have been experiencing significant negative stigma and light persecution from academia, media, and government for several decades now. Our speech has been systematically sensored since the late 1960’s, by the very liberals who claim to champion free speech!

Even more telling, while the SCOTUS correctly identified in the 1961 case of Torcaso v. Watkins, that “faith” and “beliefs” were tenants of humanism, because of the bias already prevalent in the system, this case could never get traction to argue against the establishment of militant humanism within and throughout secular society.
