I noted Foster and Jindal served two terms above. I said there hasn’t been two reformist Governors elected in a row (meaning one succeeding another), not in the modern era, at least. The closest I could tell to having 2 ostensible “reformers” in a row (opposed to the Longs) would’ve been Sam Jones in 1939 and Jimmie Davis in 1943.

That’s accurate. Davis was sort of a reformer.

Edwards will be one term. There will be a special session of the legislature first thing next year will all sorts of tax increases on the agenda. All to pay off road contractors, state employees, trial lawyers, etc. He may get most of them, but it will be a bruising battle.

So the taxpayers will get pissed first thing.

Then he won’t be able to pay off everyone like they expect. There ain’t enough money in the world to do that.

So then they will become disillusioned by this time next year, and start sniping at him.

While I never was a big Walker for Prez supporter, I admired how he took on the unions in Wisconsin.
