Some of our posters here on FR have no concept of context and how something literally true may be manipulated to tell a stone cold lie. That is what this whole kerfuffle about Ted Cruz is based on. Even Jeff Sessions has talked about those amendments you are referring to as a tactic he and Cruz employed to expose the hypocrisy of the Dems in the fight against the gang of 8 bill. It is not an uncommon strategy.
