I’ve trusted politicians too many times, who’ve said they will “secure the border”. FReepers are sick and tired of that worn out phrase.

Countless (tax) $$ have been approved/thrown at this lie. It’s never happened.

I’m glad to see Cruz has finally said “build the wall”, but, again...I have a really hard time trusting a politician to follow through on this (I’m sick of DC lip service).

I’ll trust the guy who’s a proven builder/doer/contract negotiator to FINALLY come through on that.

Fair enough, but I trust the guy who has stood up to Obama on every issue, who stood up to GWB on issues of national and sate sovereignty, and has a proven record of doing what is best for our country no matter how unpopular it makes him.

You'll trust a guy who was a registered Democrat six years ago, who has said recently he supports ethanol and windfarm subsidies, who publicly chastised Pamela Geller for "taunting Muslims" with her "Draw the Mohammed" contest, has stated that he is "evolving" on gay marriage, and has a "really terrific" replacement for Obamacare that the government will pay for where "everybody's going to be taken care of much better than they're taken care of now...."

.... at your own risk. Trump is a celebrity billionaire and the ONLY reason you have ever heard of him at all is not because of his skill in business or politics, but because of his skill in marketing himself and creating a brand image.

You will trust a celebrity billionaire with zero political compass but a flair for showmanship.

I will trust the less-than-perfect guy with a true political compass: Ted Cruz.
