Here’s the kicker sentence.

It’s not hydraulic fracturing that’s been going on since the 1930s that’s causing the problem. It’s something much bigger that is not our fault.
The quakes stretch from southern Kansas to northern Texas.
Is that area a fault zone?
Oklahoma might fall into the ocean....and take CA with it.
My favorite New Madrid earthquake story is about President Jefferson’s nephews (they may have been his wife’s nephews). The December 16, 1811 quake happened and his chimney fell down. One of the brother’s got angry with a slave for breaking his mother’s pot and killed him on December 16. had his other slaves wall the body up in the newly constructed chimney. On January 23, 1812 the next big quake happened and the chimney fell down again exposing the body. He and his brother fled but were caught. I think they committed suicide after being convicted.
